He is an ardent believer in a strong relationship between research and teaching.  Dr. Ayadi is quite passionate about teaching.  His teaching is geared to achieve sequentially rather than concurrently the following objectives: (1) to motivate students to appreciate the importance of finance as a field of study; (2) to have students leave the class at the end of each semester feeling that they have learned some important concepts and principles in the courses instructed by him; (3) to have students recognize the interrelationship that exists between finance and the other courses within the general business curriculum.  In order to achieve these objectives, his courses are structured to allow maximum student participation.  All students are encouraged to participate in individual as well as group activities through in-class analysis and discussion of financial articles and/or cases.  He is currently the editor of a pedagogic journal, Southwestern Business Administration Journal (SBAJ).

Dr. Ayadi is always interested in the practical application of concepts taught in his classes.  In order to enhance students’ understanding of these concepts, he tries a variety of teaching methods, ranging from the use of local firms as case studies, to team teaching. He is also a strong advocate of the use of technology in the classroom.  He is open to any novel instructional delivery method.

Dr. Ayadi received the Marquis Who’s Who in America (2000), Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers (1998 & 2000), School of Business & Economics, Fayetteville State University Teacher of the Year (2001/02 &1998/99), Outstanding Service Award from the Faculty Senate, Fayetteville State University (1999-2001), ANBAR Citation of Excellence in Highest Rating for a paper he published in Managerial Finance in 1998, The Pee Dee Newspaper Group - Times Upstate Newspaper Positive Image Award in 1996.  His other honors include: Author of  Best Article Award in the Applied Category from the Fogelman School of Business and Economics at the University of Memphis in 1995.
