Ugbonla, otherwise and fondly called the seat of Zion has a special  place in the heart of God Almighty. It is an almost autonomous society which is also the headquarters of Cherubim and Seraphim church of Zion of Nigeria and overseas. The community emerge and became autonomous traditional cum religious kingdom when the revered religious leader
late Dr. Elisha Lene Ogunfeyimi (JP), The Atarioye Ajigbade of Ugbonla left ERUONA and founded the Cherubim and Seraphim church of Zion with his followers in February 16, 1948. This society has since possessed peculiar identities in the religious, economic and socio political ramifications.

The people of Ugbonla are socially mature race. Apart from the uncommon peaceful co-existence found there, the people still uphold the virtues of honesty, trust and fraternal love as the plank on which a true human society should rest. Unfortunately, the main essence of a societal structure is disappearing in the world today, but, never in ugbonla.

The people organize themselves into groups as way to further entrench the essence of society - the synergy in coming together. Today, Ugbonla kingdom parades social groups and cooperative society like De Peer Age, The Dynamites, The Golden Stars, Lene Jare, Egbe IDE Lene social club, Sons and Daughters, Associations and a host of
others. These groups are living up to the expectation of their members and are making stupendous development impacts on the kingdom at large.
In the annual calendar of the kingdom, certain date stand out for celebration of diverse kind. The first is the yearly anniversary of the founder's Day Popularly called "UGBONLA DAY" on February 16th.
Others include choristers Anniversary 18th February, ordained officers meeting (1st July), Annual General Conference (4th, 10th August) feast of st. Micheal (29th September), Annual Anniversary (28th December), feast of cherubim (last Thursday in May), Ugbonla Regatta Day Celebration (29th December), and lastly, the Remembrance Day for the Late King of zion and founder, St. E. L Ogunfeyimi (JP) on March 28.

The highest political and spiritural administration of the kingom is entrusted in the Oba. His (the Oba) power and the mandate to serve in that capacity are believed to come directly from God through the Holy Spirit. Next in the hierarchy of the political power are the Omo-Ogun Kristis, chairmen and most prominent prophets who together with the Oba and the secretary constitute the Oba-in-council. Another very important decision making body of the Zion is the Elder's council which is
comprised of the Oba, the registered Trustees, the secretariat and some other members representing various interest groups. They direct the economic and social activities, and administer the Zion's treasury.

They are responsible for the Zion's social control of discipline, law and order as an autonomous kingdom. Through, Ugbonla is a culturally and spiritually preserved society, it embraces ideals and developments which enhance better living condition of the people. Ogo-Oluwa Transport (marine), C&S School of Theology,
Ugbonla Guest House/ Hotel, and Ugbonla Guest comprehensive Health centre are few of the innumerable social amenities Ugbonla has for it's people. The terrain or geography of Ugbonla could be a sufficient reason for it's people not to have access to electricity. But no, before the commencement of a 33KVA Rural Electrification Projects executed by the Ondo State Government in only some few years back, there was Ugbonla Electricity Board.
