Lagos State Governor, Mr Babatunde Fashola (SAN) on Saturday condoled with the Government and people of Kano State as well as the management of Channels Television over the unfortunate loss of lives which occurred as a result of the violent and mindless explosion of bombs in the State on Friday.
Governor Fashola asked all well meaning Nigerians to rise up together to find a path of peace for our nation
The Governor also urged all aggrieved persons to seek dialogue first rather than as a last resort.
He also expressed shock and deep sadness at the death of a member of the dynamic Channels Television team, Mr Enenche Akogwu during Friday's unfortunate multiple explosions.
In a condolence letter to the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Channels TV, Mr John Momoh, the Governor stated that it pains him to the marrows that the young, resourceful, energetic and diligent Reporter/Cameramen, Enenche Akogwu could come to such a sad and gruesome end in the course of performing his professional duties.
"This, indeed, must be harrowing times for you, the management and staff of your respected organization as well as the family of Mr Akogwu. Please remember that you are in my thoughts and prayers", the Governor stressed.
The Governor asked the Chairman of Channels TV to accept his condolences on behalf of the Government and people of Lagos State and prayed that God grants the soul of the late journalist eternal rest and abide with all professional colleagues and family members left behind.
