The Chairman of Akoko South East local government Hon. Akin Aibinuomo has stated that it was not yet time for the Akoko agenda. Aibinuomo stated this while speaking to journalist at Akure recently. According to him, the Akoko have a right to agitate to become governor but this can be only after Mimiko’s second term.
The governor is performing and beyond that, he is constitutionally empowered to do a second term. Genuine leaders of Akoko understand this and they are working towards the actualization of this very important aspiration.
After the second term, an Akoko governor can come up he stated. He called on the Akoko to remain steadfast and be committed in their support for the governor and not to allow them to be pitched against other parts of the state by people who are nursing inordinate ambition.
The Local Government boss assured the people of Akoko South East of infrastructural development adding that every community in local government will have their own fair share of developmental projects.
