Dayo Faduyile emerges ACN Consensus Candidate

Prince Francis Dayo FaduyileDr. Dayo Faduyile has emerged as the consensus candidate of Action Congress of Nigeria(ACN).

He emerged as the consensus Candidate of the party after and exhaustive meeting of the party leaders of the ACN State Constituency 1 of Okitipupa Local Government area.

A letter written and signed by Mr Akinsuyi, Chief Akintoye. J.A and Mr Ogunmakin the Chairman and Secretary and others party member of the ACN respectively in constituency 1 of Okitipupa Local Government.We are using this medium to adopt Dr Dayo Faduyile as the party flag bearer in the forthcoming election as a member Ondo State House of Assembly Constituency 1.He has proved himself to be a person of credible character, a man with intellectual known-how and someone that can deliver the dividends of democracy.

Therefore, by the authority confirmed on us, we the exco members of Action Congress of Nigeria in Okitipupa Local Government Chapter, hereby adopt Dr. Dayo Faduyile as party candidate for the forthcoming election into House of Assembly come 2011.

AM INTO THE HOUSE OF REPS RACE - SOJI EHINLANWO

The first son of Senator Hosea Ehinlawo Mr. Soji Ehinlanwo has declared that he is also interested in the race to the 2011 House of Representatives race under the Labour Party.

Mr. Soji Ehinlanwo stated this in Arogbo, the traditional headquarters of Arogbo Ijaws in Ese-Odo local government of Ondo State where he went to represent his father, a serving Senator in the National Assembly under the PDP as Chairman of  a Movie Album launch .

According to Soji Ehinlanwo, though he has come to represent his father as Chairman of the occasion, he is pleased to announce that he has indicated his interest to contest the House of Representatives election.

Sometime last year, Mr. Soji Ehinlanwo, defected to the Labour Party and this raised a lot of furore as his father is a serving Senator with a PDP ticket.

Soji Ehinlanwo also added that he will still come to Arogbo to openly declare his intention.

Sequel to the release of guidelines of the ruling Labour Party in Ondo State for the forthcoming elections next year, another special assistant doubled as the chief press secretary in Ese-Odo local government has resigned his appointment.
Mr. Success Odogbo who resigned his position as the special assistant and the chief press secretary of the Local Government last week Friday said that his decision was not accidental, rather, it was predestined.
He spoke with Sunshine Daily Watch that his registration was engineered by his long time vision and ambition to contest for the forthcoming house of assembly election in Ondo State. He also stated that he is keenly ready to serve his people at the Local Government.
“My resignation was never accidental; it was predestined that these must happen this time around. The interest to serve my people at higher position prompted my vision, ambition and aspiration”, Success disclosed.
In his letter of resignation submitted to the caretaker chairman Ese-Odo Local Government, Mr. Kennedy Peretei last week Friday stated thus, “I wish to resign my appointment as the special assistant and chief press secretary to the interim chairman of Ese-Odo Local Government. The resignation was engineered by my long time vision and ambition to contest for the forthcoming House of Assembly election to represent Ese-Odo Local Government area in Ondo State.”
Speaking, Peretei stated that he would miss the good services of his special assistant and press secretary who he described as a hardworking, agile and trustworthy officer who contributed immensely to the development of Ese-Odo Local Government. He however wished him success in his aspiration, ambition and other endeavors.

Mimikos Aides Resign To Pursue Senatorial Ambition

Two cabinet members of the Ondo State executive council have resigned their appointments to pursue their senatorial ambition. Boluwaji Kunlere, who was the special adviser to the governor, Olusegun Mimiko, on political matters, and Yele Omogunwa, former commissioner for works, tendered their resignation letters at the weekly state executive council meeting held in Akure on Wednesday.

The duo are interested in securing the Labour Party ticket to represent the people of the southern senatorial district of the state.

Mr. Kunlere contested in the April 21, 2007 elections and lost to the Peoples Democratic Party candidate.

The national headquarters of the Labour Party had ordered political appointees seeking elective offices to tender their resignation before August 31st.

The state commissioner for Information, Ranti Akerele said the resignation of the two former cabinet members was a clear indication that Mr Mimikos administration values internal democracy.

He said it was further attestation to the commitment of the current administration to do things the right and democratic way.

Mr Akerele said Mr Mimiko had formally accepted the resignation. Olusegun Mimiko has accepted the resignation of both Kunlere and Omogunwa in good fate. He praised the duo for their contribution to the development of the state during their stay in office, he said.

Mr Kunlere, while speaking at a news conference where his opponent was conspicuously absent, said his resignation was in line with the electoral guidelines of the party which directed all political appointees seeking elective positions to resign their appointments on or before August 31st.

Hon Adegbenro NomiyeThe Ondo State Head of Service, Government Functionaries, Organisers of this Seminar, Resource Persons, Gentlemen of the Press, Participants, Ladies and Gentlemen, I feel highly honored to present this keynote address on this occasion organized by the ILAJE PROFESSIONALS on the need for self-actualization and fulfillment through career development.

The relevance of the theme of the seminar “RETHINKING THE ILAJE ENTERPRISES” Which is the first of its kind cannot be over emphasized in the contemporary Ilaje Nation.

It is therefore my belief that every one present here today would not remain the same at the end of the seminar having listened to different professionals.

Let make it clear that every man is born with one talent or the other and for the fact that you are made in the image of God; it shows that you are specially created; you are unique and highly talented. This is the basis of which to anchor a trust on the Lord to build a successful career.

However, there are some key points that serve as catalysts to help you to be significant and successful in your career or profession. I know that our resource persons here would talk extensively on this, but let me just highlight some features that would enhance your preparedness for a successful career or profession in life.

I.    Self-Discovering: Every human being has talent, potentials and limitless capabilities, but you can only discover these through such means as education. Through education you are exposed to the world of a possibilities and a rare opportunity to decide your faith. Education leads to choosing a worthwhile career.

II.    Course of Study: Choosing a career is a direct result of the course of study undertaken at a certain level of your education. Your chosen course of study is either informed by your interest for some subjects at your secondary education level or based on your understanding of the comparative advantage you in a particular discipline. The bottom line, however, is that no course of.

III.    Study is irrelevant or insignificant: it depends on what you make out of it. Note that, one key characteristic of successful individuals is that they know what they want and are quick to take action to realize it. Modern trend, however, point to a course of study that ensure self-reliance and a profession that is action- oriented. Any career that is bias along this premix is bound to be productive and successful.

IV.    Creative: For one to be exceptional in his chosen career he needs to be creative and carve a niche for himself in that career. This will make him a special person to be looked for always. The secret of most exceptional professionals is the fact that they take the pain and time to study the past, compare the present practice among competitors and come out with some uncommon strategies that place them ahead in terms of productivity.

V.    Set a Tall Target & Goals: Productivity in a chosen career always obey the law of cause and effect. Something must first be planted before a harvest. Always think and act big, never underestimate the level you can attain in your career, therefore put in all that can enhance bumper harvest your time, energy, technical know-how and most importantly let people know the high standard you set yourself as this will form the reason for their relationship with you.

VI.    Patriotism & Honesty: Be honest with people and associates, and never underestimate the virtue of patriotism, as these play vital roles in your being productive and successful. Remember that you are a product of your society, your success and achievement in your chosen career should have positive impact on the society, as this will be the measure by which people will assess you.

Ladies and gentlemen the list of such features that engender outstanding achievements and success in a chosen profession is explain in the course of this professional talk by the eminent resource persons who have been specially selected for that purpose.

At this juncture, let me commend the organizers and sponsors of this professional talk – the Ilaje Professional for their contribution to national growth and human development in particular.

It is my hope that the target group i.e. the youth and the various professional groups here present would benefit immensely from the wealth of experience of our resource persons and use whatever knowledge acquired today for the growth and development of Ilaje which will also bring about self-reliance and reduction in youth restiveness in our various communities.
