Profile of Prince Bamidele Bajowa
My traditional rhythms are set to sacred songs and chants in praises of the Orishas (Orunmila, Ogun, Oya, Egungun, Yemoja and other Yoruba deities) Playing Bata, Sakara, Gangan (Yoruba talking drums), Kpalongo, Djembe drums. I also perform with ODUA DE – Ensemble, playing Highlife, Juju and Afro Beat music set to melodic songs about life. The group also performs contemporary gospel music in English and Yoruba.”
My efforts to preserve Yoruba heritage both in Africa and in the New World, have been blessed with many opportunities of travels amongst the Yoruba people. I am now sharing my experiences with Canadians through music and dance as a traditionalist. As Ifa (Orunmila) initiate, I divine with sixteen cowries and palm nuts. Am also the custodian of my family’s ancestral masked dancer Egungun Ayeloja.
For over ten years, I had been supporting local organizations both in Canada and Africa with my music. Through collaborative efforts with Canadian musician, we raised funds for schools, built water wells, supported cooperative of women farmers with food programs and sports program for youths in Africa.
THE PROFILE OF THE MOST RT. REVEREND BARR. S.O. IKUOMOLA (JP) THE SPIRITUAL LEADER AND GENERAL OVERSEER OF GOD’S APPRAISAL ZION CHURCH NATION WIDE.
The Most Rt. Reverend S.O. Ikuomola (JP) was born to the family of Ikuomola by Pa Pastor Matthew Abiodun Ikuomola (now late) from Seja and Mrs. Agnes Ikuomola (Nee Egbayelo) from Motoro in Ilaje Local Government Area of Ondo State. His parents settle at Ugbonla Zion and became staunch members of the Cherubim and Seraphim Church of Zion, Ugbonla.
EDUCATIONAL ATTAINMENT:-
The Most Rt. Reverend S.O. Ikuomola is an academic giant. He attended U.N.A. primary school Gbabijo, C&S Secondary Modern school Ugbonla, Saint Peter’s Teachers College Akure between 1976 and 1979, and University of Nigeria Nsukka between 1980 and 1984 where he bagged the Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Business Administration. Having worked for a while, he went back to the same University for his masters’ degree which he obtained in 1994 specializing Banking and Finance(MBA) at present, he holds an additional degree in law (LLB Hon.) from the University of Benin, Benin City. Shortly after, he attended the law school and consequently he was called to the bar.
Most Rt Rev. Ikuomola is equally a candidate of the institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) He is a member of the following Professional bodies, Association of Accountants of Nigeria (CNA), Nigeria institute of Management (NIM) and Chartered institute of Taxation of Nigeria.
RELIGIOUS TRAINING:-
He attended the school of Theology at Ugbonla were he was ordained a Rabbi by Saint Elisha Lene Ogunfeyimi. He was later promoted to the rank of Superior Senior Apostle by the Most Right Reverend I.O. Jemine (An Appointed Successor to Lene himself).
HIS ORDEAL:-
He cannot but experience some ordeals as a child of God but with the assistance of God he was able to overcome them. Glory be to God.
HIS CALL TO MINISTRATION:-
The holy spirit descended on him one Night in 1986. Many prophets from within and from without foretold that the Most Rt. Rev. Ikuomola was going to found a church. He never took it seriously until when 2000 God revealed God’s Apprasial church to him. Thus the church came into existence on February 13, 2000. The word Zion was a later addition to the name of the church.
PILGRIMAGE:-
He went on a holy pilgrimage to Israel in 2001 hence the addition of “JP” to his name; otherwise he hated to be called “JP” when he had not been to Israel or to as a doctor when he has not obtained a doctorate degree. He has introduced a lot of reforms into the white garment church. He has been able to do this with the assistance of his academic attainment.
WORKING EXPERIENCE:-
He taught in various primary and secondary school e.g. C&S primary school, Ugbonla. Ayeka / Igbodigo / oke igbala High School 1985-1986-Unitde Grammar school, Ode Irele, 1987. Stella Maris College, Okitipupa, 1988. He joined the Local Government Service Commission in 1988. He worked in the following Local Government Council Area in Ondo and Ekiti States either as Internal Auditor or treasurer Ise-Ekiti, Odibgo, Ose , Irele, Okitipupa, Ondo, Ilaje. He later became the Treasurer of the Local Government Staff Pension Board, Akure. He is presently the Treasurer of Okitipupa Local Government.
Profile of Sir Ayodeji Adelakun (KJW)

Sir Deji Adelakun was born in Okitipupa, Okitipupa Local Government of Ondo State, Nigeria in the fifties to the family of Pa & Mrs. Olowofoyehan Adelakun. His formal education put him through all these known tiers of
education, the primary, secondary, polytechnic and the university. He started his primary education at the Methodist Primary School, Oke-Ikale, Okitipupa and had a brief stint in L.A. Secondary Modern School, Okitipupa before a God sent mentor late Pa. Obefemi Olayeye, (may God grant eternal rest), took over his secondary education at the prestigious Methodist High School, Okitipupa between 1970 and 1974.
In 1975 he joined the service of the Planning Authority, where he was sent on training by the then western State Government which by her scholarship scheme trains deserving men and women at the Town Planning School, Ibadan. Before the end of the course, Ondo State was created. In 1977 Deji Adelakun was posted back to Ondo State and he served in various towns and villages as town planning assistant before he went back to school in 1979.
He was one of the pioneer students of the Polytechnic, Owo now Rufus Giwa Polytechnic where he read Architecture. He underwent his National Service in Borno state in 1983/84 service year. After his service year, despite other lucrative offers, Deji Adelakun returned back to his roots where he commenced private practice. The initial reaction of the people was not encouraging. This is not because he is found waiting but because the people are not used to having well trained professionals for their building working drawings.
With persistent efforts at enlightenment and the positive practical effects of works undertaken by Deji Adelakun which dotted various
landscapes in Ondo State and other places in Nigeria, his business achieved favourable turn around. He became the first choice of people in undertaking difficult aesthetical structural jobs with pleasing environment.
In 1989 through 1995 he was with Michelin Plantation Group as the project architect covering Edo, Delta and Ondo state rubber plantation estates. The 1996 – 1999 saw Sir Deji Adelakun back to school for the proverbial ‘Golden fleece’. He was at the Ondo state University, (now University of Ado-Ekiti UNAD) where he bagged his master’s degree in Management/Business Administration.
Firmly persuaded by the adage of no knowledge is lost and to further improve his competence in his chosen profession, he moved to the University of Technology, Akure for his graduate and post-graduate studies in architecture where he bagged his master’s degree (M.Tech) in architecture. Sir Deji Adelakun is presently the Project Architect with Folskun Konsults Limited (architects/engineers/environmental management consultants) Folskun Konsult Limited, a conglomerate of allied professionals in the building industry is located in the urban centre in the south west of Nigeria and Abuja. They are also involved in property development scheme in Nigeria.
Sir Deji Adelakun an entrepreneur is presently the Chief Executive of Folskun Links Ltd., producing various types of polyethylene materials (film, polybag, shopping bag parking bag, rapping bag flat sheet etc, plastic bottle of various sizes and shapes, ozonized table water, and various types of bread (potassium bromate free) Sir Deji Adelakun a Wesleyan is a Knight of John Wesley of the Methodist Church Nigeria. He belongs to some other professional organisation such as institute of architect and management He is happily married to Lady Joe Deji-Adelakun with children
Profile of Chief Eddy Olafeso
Chief Eddy Eniola Olafeso began his earthly sojourn 54 years ago. He came as a bundle of blessing to the family of chief and Mrs. Marian Olafeso. Born of an aristocratic background, his father Chief Olafeso was the late Olorogun of Idepe Okitipupa. The mother hailed from Osooro also in Okitipupa Local Government Area.
The story of his birth heralded into the family of the Olafesos a promising boy who was later going to be a pride of the Ikale people and the entire Ondo State.
Young Eddy started his primary education at Methodist Primary School, Idepe-Okitipupa in the early sixties. Building on a brilliant performance, he got admission to the prestigious Methodist High School, Okitipupa for his post primary education. He later obtained his TC II 1974 at DTTC, Ode-Aye, in his untiring pursuit for academic excellence, he had a brief stinctg the then Ondo State College of Education, Ikere.
Like every promising young man, Chief Olafeso felt the urge to proceed and he proceeded to the famous and ever prestigious University of Ife now Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) where he bagged a single honours in English in 1983. Prior to this time, he had contributed to the education growth of this state by offering to teach, though briefly with his TC II and GCE O/level certificate at Jowiri Grammar School Ajagba in Irele Local Government between 1975 and 1976. These were the formative years of the leadership trait which he has become known for in recent time and like a gold fish that has no hiding place, Eddy’s leadership tendencies and his ability even as young man to lead progressive union activism came to the fore at University of Ife when the opportunity presented itself, he became the President of the University of Ife Students’ Union, thus making his Ikale folks proud in far away Ile-Ife, a university campus of several thousands of students.
Chief Olafeso is an asset to his community. He has a political structure that makes him relevant at all times in politics, he has contributed at different forum to the development of Ondo State. Way back in 2006, his eloquence was tapped by the then PDP Government of Ondo State and he became the scribe of the party at the state level. Once again, in this exalted position as the party secretary, he did not disappoint.
Qualitative service delivery came beckoning on him once again in 2007. The immediate past Governor of Ondo State, Dr. Olusegun Agagu asked him, to man the Information and Orientation Ministry.
Right from the point of swearing-in as the Commissioner for Information to his last day in office, he was all through at his best.
A sound mind that he is, he handled the information portfolio with fitness. Finetuned medium of information dissemination became the hallmark of his ministry. It is on machinery of the state. Press corps enjoyed in-service training, regular seminars and pro-active measures to encourage information officers under him.
Chief Olafeso possesses the modernist portrait of a social reformer. He affects in his speeches and analyses the language of a down-to-earth politician who plays the game by the rules. In 2003, he made a shot at the House of Representative Abuja, but his party and superior counsel made him step down for the incumbent Dr. Olu Olakunde. He stepped down in good fate, in obedience and loyalty to his party. Eddy as he is popularly called by family members and friends is an erudite scholar, a philanthropist, an eloquent speaker and active sociable gentlemen. In February of this year, he added another feather to his cap when he bagged a doctorate degree from University of Hawaii, USA.

Profile of DR. O. FELIX AYADI
Dr. Ayadi received the doctor of philosophy (PhD) degree in Finance from The University of Mississippi. His several years of academic experience include positions at the University of Lagos, Nigeria, LeMoyne-Owen College, Memphis, TN., Georgia Southern University, Stateboro, GA , Savannah State University, Savannah, GA, Fayetteville State University, Fayetteville, NC and Pfeiffer University, Charlotte, NC. He is currently Professor of Finance at the Jesse H. Jones School of Business, Texas Southern University, Houston, TX. Dr. Ayadi has published over fifty refereed articles in several academic journals including: Journal of Banking and Finance; Global Finance Journal; Journal of Multinational Financial Management; The International Journal of Finance; International Review of Financial Analysis; Journal of Emerging Markets; Journal of Asian and African Studies; OPEC Review; Journal of Black Studies; American Business Review; African Review of Money, Banking & Finance; Financial Services Review; Global Business Journal; Savings and Development Quarterly Review; Nigerian Journal of Economic and Social Studies; Managerial Finance; Journal of Instructional Psychology and The Journal of Applied Business Research. His first book, entitled, Modern Commerce in West Africa was published in Summer, 1995.
He is an ardent believer in a strong relationship between research and teaching. Dr. Ayadi is quite passionate about teaching. His teaching is geared to achieve sequentially rather than concurrently the following objectives: (1) to motivate students to appreciate the importance of finance as a field of study; (2) to have students leave the class at the end of each semester feeling that they have learned some important concepts and principles in the courses instructed by him; (3) to have students recognize the interrelationship that exists between finance and the other courses within the general business curriculum. In order to achieve these objectives, his courses are structured to allow maximum student participation. All students are encouraged to participate in individual as well as group activities through in-class analysis and discussion of financial articles and/or cases. He is currently the editor of a pedagogic journal, Southwestern Business Administration Journal (SBAJ).
Dr. Ayadi is always interested in the practical application of concepts taught in his classes. In order to enhance students’ understanding of these concepts, he tries a variety of teaching methods, ranging from the use of local firms as case studies, to team teaching. He is also a strong advocate of the use of technology in the classroom. He is open to any novel instructional delivery method.
Dr. Ayadi received the Marquis Who’s Who in America (2000), Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers (1998 & 2000), School of Business & Economics, Fayetteville State University Teacher of the Year (2001/02 &1998/99), Outstanding Service Award from the Faculty Senate, Fayetteville State University (1999-2001), ANBAR Citation of Excellence in Highest Rating for a paper he published in Managerial Finance in 1998, The Pee Dee Newspaper Group - Times Upstate Newspaper Positive Image Award in 1996. His other honors include: Author of Best Article Award in the Applied Category from the Fogelman School of Business and Economics at the University of Memphis in 1995. Nissan Fellow in Finance in 1994, United States Achievement Academy Award in 1989, and All American Scholar in 1989.
