In order to assuage the suffering of fishermen, ogogoro dealers and market women in Ukparama area of the Local Government, the Chairman of Ese Local Government,Mr Kennedy Peretei has decided to build an ultra modern market at Ekpetonron.
According to a release made available to Communitylink newspaper by his Chief Press Secretary Mr Success Odogbo, the project which drawings are already done will be soon awarded.
The Ekpetonron market which is also target at improving the internally generated revenue (IGR) of the local government when completed would also serve as a tourist attraction as the market would stand on water with foot bridges linking up various stalls
The statement added that other riverine local government in Nigeria would also like to emulate the concept which is the first of his kind in riverine development.
As at this time, a deluge of commendation letters were already in the office of the Chairman from the Ukparama people in appreciation of his love.
